SAVOR Week ? Wednesday Preview: Hops, NC Beer, and Brewer-led ...

Tonight is just an absolute embarrassment of riches for the DC craft beer scene. The 14 some odd events have a huge variety of breweries and formats. A ton of hard-to-find (or never-found in DC) beers are on tap all across the city. Be sure to read all the way to the bottom of this list. No matter where you head tonight, have a great time and be sure to appreciate the world-class beer offerings in our fair city tonight!

The Big Hunt is hosting Flying Dog and DCBeer.com for a tap takeover titled ?Death by Hops and A Smoke.? This will be an excellent opportunity for everyone from craft beer novices to advanced home brewers to actively taste and discuss the brews with the very people that created and brewed them. UPDATE: This is no longer a ticketed event, all of the beers will be available on the main floor on an a la carte basis. Backyard Ale (which is only available at SAVOR and Volt in Frederick, MD), the Farmhouse IPA, Snake Dog IPA, and Raging Bitch will all be specially priced from 8-10pm. DCBeer.com, folks from Flying Dog, and a bunch of #dcbrews supporters will be on-hand to have a lively discussion about all of these hard-to-get Flying Dog beers.
