I was just pondering can you get skin cancer at 14 and what will the dermotologist possibly do? Thanks.
You most likely do not have cancer, but it is doable. The dermatologist will examine it, probably biopsy (reduce out a piece of) it, or even get rid of it just to be secure. You can get skin cancer at any age.
The physician with likely eliminate. He?ll do this by offering you a local anesthetic then cutting out with a decently large margin. It will be placed in a specimen container and sent to the lab for review to decide if it can be benign or not. Then conclusions will be made from there what happens following, depending on what the labs says about the mole.
