Google's Majel Siri competition fast-tracked - Computers|Gadgets ...

27th of June. For those of you that do not know, the codename for this project is a connection with Majel Barrett, also known Nurse Christine Chapel within the original Star Trek television series and ? far more importantly ? the voice of the ship?s computer besides.

Thusly we have got what Google?s voice-recognition abilities can already do on Android (that being loads, as Samsung?s S-Voice will prove), and just a little Star Trek shine to bring the service as much as snuff. It?s fairly unlikely that we are going to see an exact Star Trek themed service within the near future, but a code-name like this is certainly better than naming it something with a group of random numbers and letters, that?s of course.

Above you will see a brief video showing off the skills of Samsung?s S-Voice at the Galaxy S III, a tool we?ve already reviewed in full and should be seeing USA versions of inside the very near future. Have a peek within the timeline below to look all that Google is doing with voice recently, and stay tuned for the enormous event on the end of this month!

Also pay close attention to this post: First Mention of Majel and this post: Android is Star Trek, Siri is Star Wars to get your full dose of Android Majel future talking.
